My Husband and I live in Monrovia, just walking distance from the weekly farmers Market. Yum!
My Husband, Vince, is a Pediatric Physical Therapist. He is a (proud) graduate of USC, and a BIG fan of UCLA!
We have two dogs, Wally & Sydney. We rescued both of them from the pound.
I was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona, third generation. My Dad and sister still live in Phoenix.
Why did I move to California? I met the love of my life and moved here to be closer to him. Shortly after we were engaged and married. (We were engaged for a year and a half!)
Educational Background
I graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education and Physical Science. I have an emphasis in Middle School and Mathematics. I was able to complete my student teaching at a DODDS school in Mannheim Germany! It was an awesome experience.
I taught for four years in Arizona before moving to California. I was at Desert Sky Middle School teaching both 7th and 8th grade science.
I have now been teaching at South Pasadena Middle School for 5 years. I have taught both 7th and 8th grade. I am also currently one of the Advisors for the ASB (leadership) program.
I love to bake! It is one of my favorite things to do to relieve stress!
I also enjoy getting my fingers dirty and working in my garden. I grew sunflowers for the first time this year. I also love photography! So, here are some pictures from my garden and of other stuff!
I am starting to learn how to quilt. I have just finished my first quilt with 25 panels. It is made up of all of the shirts from camps that I have worked at, back to 1988! (I met my husband working at camp!)
